Chairman's Welcome
Welcome to British International College. BIC is a family of four schools in Hargeisa: Jigjiga Yar Primary School, Star School, New Hargeisa School and Thamesbridge School. Together they educate children from the Early Years to Sixth Form, following a British curriculum within an Islamic ethos.

Our mission
We provide a highly academic curriculum and a disciplined environment, so that our students can achieve the highest possible qualifications. For our students, gaining these qualifications and going on to university is life-transforming. We are committed to improving the life chances of our students and to helping them become successful citizens and leaders.
Our families come from all parts of the globe and are highly aspirational for their children. We share that aspiration and do what is needed to help every student succeed. As a multicultural community, we develop our students as global citizens, with many opportunities to build new skills and to contribute to their school and the wider community.
