Our motto, Believe, Inspire, Create, sums up what we ask of every student: to believe in themselves, to inspire those around them, and to create something of value. The seven values below describe how we live that out each day. 

Our Core Values
These seven values are shared by all four BIC schools: Jigjiga Yar Primary School, Star School, New Hargeisa School and Thamesbridge School.

Islamic Values & Character
BIC is rooted in Islamic values. Honesty, compassion, humility and responsibility shape daily life in our schools. We want our students to leave with strong moral character as well as strong results, ready to contribute to society.

Integrity
We do what is right, even when it is difficult, and we take responsibility for our actions and decisions. We are honest and dependable with our students and families, we communicate openly, and we act fairly.

Respect
Every student, member of staff and parent deserves dignity and kindness. We listen to one another, welcome different ideas and encourage constructive dialogue. Our staff set the example they expect students to follow.

Diversity & Inclusion
Our community brings together different backgrounds, talents and experiences, and we are stronger for it. Every student is welcomed, supported and given an equal opportunity to succeed. We teach respect for other cultures, beliefs and viewpoints, so that our students are prepared for an interconnected world.

Student Achievement
Our students are at the centre of everything we do. We set high expectations and back them with excellent teaching, so that every learner can reach their potential. Alongside academic results, we build the curiosity, confidence and resilience students need for life after school. That commitment runs from a child's first day at primary school to their final A Level examination at Thamesbridge School. We measure our success by the difference we make to our students' lives.

Collaboration & Teamwork
Outstanding education is a shared effort. Our staff work together across departments and across all four of our schools, sharing ideas and responsibility for every student's progress. We work just as closely with families and the wider community.

Service & Contribution
Education should inspire students to make a difference to the people around them. We encourage our students to take an
